National & Regional Economic Developments:
A Discussion with Federal Reserve Economist, Ryo Tashiro
MILTON — The Central PA Chamber of Commerce will host a Seminar & Training Series event, “National & Regional Economic Developments,” with economist Ryo Tashiro.
Tashiro, an economist and advisor for the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia, will discuss the roles and functions of the Federal Reserve as well as the most recent trends in the economy on a regional and national level. He will explore important questions, including:
- What is the Federal Reserve Bank and its role in the economy?
- How are American consumers doing?
- What trends do we see in the labor market?
- What is the outlook for inflation?
The Central PA Chamber’s Seminar & Training Series is designed to provide expert knowledge and experience in short, but impactful, educational opportunities for Central PA Chamber members and the public at large. Chamber members are surveyed for their input on topics and speakers to bring the most relevant and needed information to the public.
The Friday, September 18 event will be held in the Smith Training Center at the Central PA Chamber of Commerce, 30 Lawton Lane, Milton, at 10:00 a.m. Registration is required to attend and costs $10 for Central PA Chamber members and $15 for non-members.
