Treasurer: Ashley Parrish, First Commonwealth Bank
Oversight on budget preparation, constant review, monitoring and adjustment of the various investments for the Chamber and its related corporations. The committee must review and monitor monthly income and expenditure reports of all Chamber entities.

Business & Education
Business & Education Coordinator: Ryan Workman, Central PA Chamber of Commerce
Article of Incorporation: To connect businesses and professionals with educators, students, and education institutions to develop and equip workforce future.
The Central PA Business and Education Association is the 501(c)(3) entity under the Central PA Chamber umbrella. The Association is currently restructuring to prioritize results in an ever-changing workforce and education landscape facing post pandemic challenges.
At its first meeting in late 2022, the Business and Education Association Steering Committee identified the following as our priorities for 2023:
- Create and implement an online hub for employers and employees to connect local resources.
- Identify programs – needed/missing and already offered/to partner
- Provide businesses with information for their benefit/use
- Program ambassadors
- Use advisory committees at technical schools to create opportunities for experience
- Share information and highlight success stories
- Incorporate with online hub
- Employee Services
- Problem solving/critical thinking skills
- Encourage employers to invest in people
- Grants
- Insurance rebates

The committee will meet from 8:30 to 10 a.m. on the following Tuesdays – Feb. 14, May 16, Aug. 15 and Nov. 21 in The Smith Room at the Central PA Chamber.

Engagement Team
Chair: Lauren McDonald, The Wealth Factory
Engagement Team Members serve as liaisons between the Chamber and its prospective and current members. They assist prospective and current members in fully recognizing the benefits of Chamber membership. Through periodic visits and phone calls to prospective and existing members, the Engagement Team assists the Chamber in obtaining new members and retaining current members.

Public Relations
Chair: Lisa Leighton, Weis Center for the Performing Arts
This group serves as the promotional backbone for anything in regard to the Central PA Chamber of Commerce and its affiliate organizations. They brainstorm impactful ways to promote the organization and its members. The committee also reviews current projects (Membership Guide, Directory, IYB, etc.) and considers new ones.
The committee meets from 3 to 4 p.m. on the third Thursday of every other month (January, March, May, July, September and November) in The Ross Room at the Central PA Chamber. If you are interested in joining this committee, e-mail jshaffer@centralpachamber.com.
