“Mental Health Awareness & Promotion in the Workplace & Community”

Burnout and mental illness is a pervasive public health crisis and an occupational health issue. Mental health conditions are the leading cause of disability in our local community, nationally and globally. Additionally, untreated mental illness costs the nation $105 billion dollars annually. This session will provide an enlightening high-level overview of burnout and the current state of mental health within the workplace and community. Drivers, causes, and ramifications of burnout and mental illness will be explored. During this seminar, attendees will discuss and apply real-world strategies for reducing and mitigating the stigma of mental illness.
