Visitor’s Site Safety Rules
To ensure a safe and productive workplace, please review and adhere to these guidelines during your visit:
All visitors, contractors, architects, consultants, and guests must check in at the guard station upon arrival. Security will require you to sign in properly and then direct you to the appropriate parking location and entrance.
● Any person entering the plant MUST wear:
– Safety glasses w/ side shields and hard hats (provided at plant)
– Closed-toed shoes
– Full-length pants or slacks (no skirts or dresses)
– Hearing protection in designated areas
– Long sleeves are not required in this facility
– No high heels
– No hooded clothing
– No necklaces, bracelets, or hoop earrings
– Hair longer than shoulder length needs to be pulled back and off the shoulders
● GAF is a tobacco-free property. Electronic cigarettes are also prohibited.
● At no time will firearms, drugs or weapons of any kind be permitted on the property.
● To ensure a safe and productive environment, GAF does not allow the use of radios, headphones, earbuds, or any other music-generating device, app or computer program.
● No children with plant visitors.
● No cell phone use while in the production and warehouse areas. Cell phones, smartphones, personal computers, tablets, and other potential distractions may not be used in plant areas.
● No cameras or photos are allowed. The General Manager may review on a case-by-case basis on request.
● Accidents and incidents MUST be reported to the site HR Department immediately.
● If you are a guest visiting the plant, remain with your designated GAF contact during any fire or other alarms.
● Dispose of all waste in the proper recycling bins. Clothing cannot have lewd or offensive graphics or text.
● Running is not allowed on site.
● Visitors will adhere to GAF’s non-solicitation policy and political activity statements.
In case of a fire alarm:
∙ Walk calmly to the nearest safe exit and proceed to the parking lot in front of the main office.
∙ Designated GAF Managers will do a head count.
∙ Wait until the area has been designated “all clear” before returning to the facility.
∙ The alternate meeting location, in case of a fire in the front office, is in the Southwest parking lot by the receiving area.
