RIBBON CUTTING TO BE HELD FOR MEMORY CARE RESIDENCE AT RIVERWOODS
LEWISBURG — RiverWoods Senior Living Community will host a ribbon cutting and dedication ceremony for The Memory Care Residence at RiverWoods from 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesday, October 24 at 15 RidgeCrest Circle, Lewisburg.
The 2:15 p.m. public ribbon cutting ceremony will celebrate the completed construction of a 16,400 square-foot memory care residence, part of the Nursing Care Center at RiverWoods. Refreshments and tours will follow the ceremony.
Hepco Construction Inc., of Selinsgrove, completed the renovations to the new state-of-the-art facility, with 23 private and 2 semi-private residential rooms. Environment, lighting and furnishings were designed with memory care residents’ particular needs in mind. Details such as gliding doors and European curbless showers will offer safe and easy access in bathrooms, while a fireplace, dining room and enclosed patio and garden with seating and a pathway will make the space inviting and homelike. A spa will provide therapy and relaxation. Paint colors will be used as identifiers to aid navigation throughout the space.
The new residence is designed to promote the abundant living of current and future RiverWoods residents with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias and will provide specialized personnel focusing solely on memory care in order to help keep residents’ minds sharp and reduce the effects of memory decline.
The event is free and open to the public. Please email marketing@albrightcare.org or call 570-522-6234 for more information.
