Seminar & Training: Fire Extinguisher Readiness

Your registration guarantees you a 45-minute training session. 

Participants can begin training anytime between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. 

This training provides participants with the essential knowledge and practical skills to safely and effectively use fire extinguishers during small fire emergencies. The course covers the different classes of fires, types of fire extinguishers, proper inspection techniques, and the PASS method (Pull, Aim, Squeeze, Sweep) for extinguisher use. Attendees will learn when it is appropriate to fight a fire and when to evacuate. Hands-on practice included to build confidence in real-world scenarios.

Attendees will start by checking in with Susquehanna Fire Protection Co. staff in Chamber building and watching a video.  Handouts, a basket raffle, and refreshments included.  Attendees may come anytime between 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. and should expect to be present for no longer than 45 minutes of training.
