The Union County Historical Society offers genealogical research services for people who want to learn about their family's history, and general research on local properties, businesses and events. The society's research library is open to the public.
The society owns the historic Dale-Engle-Walker House on Strawbridge Road, Lewisburg, with educational tours, on-site events, and a walking/hiking trail maintained by the Linn Conservancy.
The society also owns important historic properties at Market and North Water Street, Lewisburg: The Union County Museum and Gallery. The Museum at 12 Market Street will house permanent and changing exhibits on local history once restoration is completed. The Gallery at 15 North Water Street presents programs, displays of Union County artifacts and memorabilia, as well as art exhibits sponsored by the Lewisburg Arts Council. Programs and events are open to the public.
