VFW Riders Group District 15-PA
About
Inspired by a shared passion for motorcycle riding and a commitment to address unmet needs in the local veteran community, the VFW Riders Group District 15-PA has made a positive impact since their formation in September 2023. This non-profit group consists of dedicated volunteers from diverse backgrounds, most of whom are veterans themselves. Supported by the VFW organization, our group is determined to make a meaningful “boots on the ground” impact. We serve Lycoming, Clinton, Tioga, Potter and Cameron Counties and strive to assist veterans from other counties whenever our resources allow. Many veterans fall through the cracks, either because they do not qualify for certain benefits or because the help they need is not offered by the Veterans Administration. Some veterans have not registered with the VA yet and need guidance through the process. A Veteran Service Officer is available through appointment to assist with that and other paperwork for claims. Common needs such as handiwork or repairs around the home, yard work, adaptations for disabilities, food resources, or emergency funds for utilities are often unmet. These stressors significantly impact veterans’ quality of life and mental health. The group was recognized for their outstanding service with over 10,200 volunteer service hours by the Williamsport Sun-Gazette on December 30, 2025. There was a nice article listing the various projects they have completed to help our veteran community know they are not forgotten. Our mission is clear: “NO VETERAN LEFT BEHIND”.
