Central PA Chamber Committees
Ambassador
Chair:
The Ambassador Committee acts as goodwill representatives at various functions and community events. This group assists with welcoming, nurturing and aiding in the retention of members.
Budget & Finance
Chair: Eric McDowell, ERA Coup Agency
Oversight on budget preparation, constant review, monitoring and adjustment of the various investments for the Chamber and its related corporations. The committee must review and monitor monthly income and expenditure reports of the treasurer.
Business & Education
Chair: George Perkins, Crest Homes
Promote relationships between the school districts in the region and the business community by making resources available that encourage a better understanding of the free enterprise system. Organizes student job shadowing, career fairs and other programs to enhance student awareness of job opportunities and employer needs. The Central PA Business & Education Partnership, organizes an Annual Golf Tournament to raise funds for Business and Education programs.
Events & Membership
Chair: Sheri Hoffman, Herbert, Rowland & Grubic, Inc.
Plans, organizes and conducts activities and events for Chamber members to help promote education, fellowship and networking opportunities. Develops programs to welcome new businesses to the Chamber and promotes Chamber Membership as a benefit for all business and professional firms in the region. In addition to participating in the Chamber's Membership campaigns, the committee sponsors new members throughout the year and encourages their continued participation.
IT Users Group
Chair:
For the past six months, the Central PA Chamber of Commerce has been working with Jim Baker, from SEDA-Cog's Information Technologies Group, and Daniel Gasteiger, from CSSI in Lewisburg, to bring to fruition their vision to form a local IT Users Group.
The group is currently working on adding an "Ask the IT Professional" feature on the Chamber's website and in the monthly newsletter, the development of IT workshops and events geared to technology purchasers and users.
Whether you are a seasoned IT professional or just happen to be the IT "Go To" person in your company, regardless of your level of expertise, you will find this forum will help answer your questions! The group is made up of IT professionals, business owners, IT staff, web designers and other individuals looking to understand and use technology more effectively.

Joint Governmental Affairs
Chair:
Develops, promotes and articulates the business viewpoint of federal, state, and local issues that impact the health and vitality of business in the Greater Susquehanna Valley. This committee is jointly held by the Central PA Chamber of Commerce and the Greater Susquehanna Valley Chamber of Commerce.
MAIDA (Milton Area Industrial Development Association)
Chair: Maria A. Culp, Central PA Chamber of Commerce
Vice Chair: James King, Northumberland County IDA
The economic development corporation of Upper Northumberland County. Promotes economic development, business retention, attraction and expansion in our region.
Sites & Facilities
Chair: Preston L. Davis, Davis, Davis & Kaar
Research usable acreage for citing additional Industrial Parks in our region to continue the growth of business and industry. Responsible for long-rang planning for future industrial and employment growth.
Transportation
Chair:
Encourages public sector support for improved roads, streets, highways, bridges and traffic flow to enhance the Greater Susquehanna Valley as a place to operate a business. Also, works to enhance motor freight and railroads serving our area as product shipping resources.
